Anja started working at Pro Motion Rehab Inc. in October 2020. She graduated 30 years ago with a BS degree in Physical Therapy from the Netherlands. She continued to pursue her Masters degree in Business and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver.
Anja has worked in a variety of outpatient clinics, hospitals and home health agencies as a staff therapist and a clinic manager. She has supervised PTA’s, Techs and students.
Anja is experienced with manual therapy, massage, industrial therapy, red cord therapy, cupping and is certified in dry needling and certified in the McKenzie method of therapy, and is now LSVT BIG Certified.
LSVT BIG trains people with Parkinson disease (PD) to use their body more normally. People living with PD or other neurological conditions often move differently, with gestures and actions that become smaller and slower. Trigger point dry needling (TDN) is the use of solid filament needles inserted through the skin and into the muscles to release painful myofascial trigger points. Dry needling results in the deeper tissue release allowing results in the deepest tissue release allowing for improvement in movement and improved pain management. We are currently not offering this service.
